On Friday March 2, 2012 a series of thunderstorms and tornados ripped through the Midwest. In Kentucky this has been considered the largest storm system to hit the Bluegrass State in 20 years. Several local chapters have either been affected by the storms, or have family & friends affected by the tornados. Several communities in OH were also hit. 2~Rivers is sometimes referred to as the "California (KY) Girls" because our mailing address is actually located in California, KY. A Tornado ripped through some of our favorite back roads and small KY towns including California, Peach Grove, Piner and Carolton as well as Louisville and surrounding communities. 2~Rivers, KY is currently organizing to help with local relief efforts. We will be collecting donations in the form of clothes, shoes, cleaning supplies, hygiene supplies, first aid supplies, garbage bags, unopened packs of socks/underwear, pet food donations (to be distributed to local shelters caring for the displaced animals). If you are a local Diva and would like to help 2~Rivers, feel free to contact us at chromedivas2riversky@yahoo.com, also any Diva from around the country that would like to make a monetary donation to the tornado victims / relief efforts you may contact us via e-mail and mail donations to 2~Rivers KY Tornado Relief
